This game has a really cool story.
Picked it up off my friend K around 2011 after he had spent a couple months going back and forth
with a guy in Los Angeles over it.The guy apparently was reluctant to sell it, but finally decided to let it go.
Qix wasn't a game you saw everyday and I was really happy to get my hands on it.
As I do with all games I tore it down to begin the cleaning process and in the bottom of the cabinet was
a little folded yellow piece of paper. Turns out it was the original sales receipt from 1981.
I opened it up and it said the owner was Richard Dawson. Now for a split second I thought.....Nah.
Stuck the receipt on a shelf and went back to working on the game.
A couple months later I came across that receipt again and thought....what the heck!
Got on the net and found an a Beverly Hills address and shot off a quick note with a picture of the game
and a copy of the receipt. A couple months went by and nothing. Honestly I never expected to
hear anything back. I mean, can you really find a celebrities address on the net?

As it turns out yes, yes you can!
I eventually received a very nice letter back from his wife (who he met on the Family Feud) explaining
that the game had been a Christmas gift from his son in 1981. She even had him sign the photo I sent.
I have the receipt and letter around here somewhere. I'll post them when I find them.
