This Americoin Junkyard is something I have been after for quite a few years. A "GRAIL" as they say.
They always seem to be on the East coast as was this one. I decided it was time to pony up and just have it shipped. This machine came to me as a bit of a project. The overall game is in decent enough condition, but needs a bit of cosmetic work and the mechanics need a little TLC. The pictures below are from the gentleman I bought it from.
It came all the way from Spencer NY. 2,656 miles.

Before the game showed up I was able to source a box full of original Tootsie cars for it.
They came from Maple Park IL. Nothing for this 41 year old machine is close or will be easy to find.

The machine needs a crane repair before it is usable. I believe the problem is a broken gear.
I will probably have to either luck out and find a gear that is close enough to make it work
or have one made. The first option relatively cheap....the second not so much!

BOY WAS THAT FUN........
Well, as I suspected, a broken PLASTIC gear. (See above)
Not just a broken gear but a reduction gear to boot. NOT going to be easy to fix this.
Chances of finding this little gear? 100000 - 1
And the only way of getting to the gear was by basically breaking into the gear box. Possibly rendering it useless.
Looks like there may be options for replacement motors. Will be easier to adapt a motor than it will be
finding that gear. Stay tuned!
