BARNES & BARNES "I Had Sex With E.T
Oh GOOD GOD!
This is a vinyl 45 rpm record. If you are lucky, you may see one every 2-3 years on Ebay.
Only 200 were made.
It's BARNES & BARNES 4 song EP, affectionately known as the "I HAD SEX WITH E.T." EP!
Only a small bunch of copies were pressed for airplay purposes in 1982.
I Had Sex With E.T. had become a hit with Dr. Demento's audience on KMET and at KROQ in Los Angeles. That's basically why the records were made, to try and take it even further than L.A.
and to get some media exposure too. Boy...did it work!

So B & B sold a quick 73 copies. Then, just as they were getting some press on the song,
they got a "Cease & Desist" letter from Steven Spielberg's people. They didn't think making fun of E.T. was funny.... no sense of humor, I tell ya. So, lawyers made sure that copies were destroyed, manufacturing materials were literally shredded and done away with, and well, whatever is left, is left.
If you own one, you're possibly sitting on a potential gold mine!
Another groovy thing is that at the time back in '82, B & B and friend and designer Joan Farber,
sat on the living room floor and hand tinted all 200 paper covers!
Using water color paint and magic markers. So no two copies are the same.
Oh yeah, the other 3 songs are: So Bold, If You Hurt No One, and I Had Sex With Pac-man.
(Same music as Sex With E.T.)
I think this version of "So Bold" is the first version B & B recorded,
and I don't think it's ever been released on CD.
A must for Barnes & Barnes, Bill Mumy, or Dr. Demento fans.
This could be the last time you ever see a copy.
